PRESENTATION
Addiction Interactive Disorder

Mary Anne Fifield, D.M.F.T.
It is our good fortune that we will be able to benefit from Mary Anne Fifield's considerable expertise in the field of addiction as our speaker for April. Mary Anne is a Marriage and Family Therapist who holds a Doctorate degree from Fuller theological Seminary and a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary. She is certified as an Addiction Specialist and Sex Addiction Therapist.
Mary Anne brings a commitment to individuals and families who have been impacted by the bondage of addiction. She specializes in working with all types of addiction issues including alcohol, drugs and sex. Mary Anne is the Founder and Clinical Director of the Addiction Recovery Center, a nonprofit treatment program for addicts and their partners. She was formerly an adjunct professor at three seminaries and is a lecturer, trainer and consultant on addiction. Specifically Mary Anne will be talking about "Addiction Interaction Disorder". She states, "Sex addiction is a pattern of coping behavior that becomes, for some, a pathological lifestyle. It's much more than 'just what men do'."
Issues to be addressed include:
-
Continuum of Dependence: What is sex addiction anyway?
Addiction Interaction Disorder: How do the addictions interact?
What are the levels of Sex Addictions?
Carnes Addiction System: So how does it work?
Attachment Trauma: Why does it happen?
Treatment: What can we do to help?
We look forward to seeing all of you at the April luncheon.
